Matt
Jones - Executive Profile |
 |
The adventuresome spirit and leadership qualities of Matt Jones were demonstrated
at a very early age. Having owned and operated several successful businesses
prior to entering college, Matt experienced the excitement and challenge
of a free thinking entrepreneur years before most students had considered
taking basic jobs.
Following a move to Seattle in his early 20's and several successful
years in business, Matt developed an urge to travel and explore the more
remote regions of the world and joined the executive staff of Society
Expeditions. Matt, along with a highly skilled team of adventurers
and lecturers, led expeditions throughout 70+ countries including 8 Antarctic
Expeditions, 200 islands in the South Pacific and 2500 miles up the Amazon River. Matt continued
three years of study on board ship in the area of natural science and ended
his tour as Expedition Leader for Northern Africa.
With some of the travel fever out of his blood and a unique plate of
experiences from which to draw, Matt accepted an invitation to join the
executive team of the first pre-paid
phone card company in America. After taking the smallest region in the
country (Hawaii) to #1 in volume for two years solid and simultaneously
building the 2nd largest sales organization in the company, Matt became vice
president and their first corporate liaison.
At present, Matt is a founding partner of Excalibur, an international
marketing firm focused on various internet related projects. Matt's personal interests include
writing, traveling, laughing, anything in the outdoors, the arts, holistic
living, various humanitarian projects and great friends.
Matt has lived life as a comedian,
photographer, artist, writer, motivational speaker, adventurer, natural food
& plant lover (and now) abstract painter. Matt is excited about life and blessed with an easy going
attitude. Matt currently lives in an artsy flat on Lake Union in Seattle, WA and is available for speaking engagements
for such topics as, "Everyone is a Leader" - "Travel the World" and "The
Principals of Success."
